The Alumni Class of 64 - with cooperation from Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien College (SOASC) and supported from Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP) - Tuesday organised a student forum in a bid to nurture unity among students and school, instil leadership traits, and enhance students' self-esteem and confidence.
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddein College (SOAS), Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College, Sultan Mohammad Jamalul Alam (SMJA) Secondary School and Raja Isteri Girls High School (STPRI) participated in the forum.
The guest of honour at the event was Norlah bte Hj Ya'kub, the Acting Director of Welfare Development of Youth and Sport, Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports.
Citing the theme of the forum 'Student Today - Economical Society Catalyst,' SOASC Principal Pg Hj Zahari Pg Hj Ahmad said, "The students of today are the future of tomorrow... their value lies in their potential to lead the next generation.
"They are the assets of the country, where they will continue the nation's building, security, harmony and well-being."
SMJA Secondary School emerged as champion of the student forum, while SOAS College (participated by me) came in second.
This is the third year the student forum has been organised.
Through discussions, students were made more aware of their contribution to society and their impact on the nation as the leaders and administrators of the future.
